Lots Of Stuff Is Going On...

...for example, the world may be coming to an end (see the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl last August? Neither did the good Lord above I'm betting.) The Blues are still the Blues, which means lots of injuries. (The Blues lose players the way I lose stool....in large batches.) Even with all that, the development of the team continues on pace. Berglund looks the probable rookie of the year to me, and Oshie seems to have the make-up of a star if he can stay healthy. Add those rookies with the marked improvement of Backes and Perron, and it really looks like the Blues are going places....just not this season. The St. Louis Cardinals? Well, they re-signed Duncan and Wellemeyer. If he stays healthy, I don't see how Duncan survives the season without being traded, unless Colby Rasmus turns out to be the bust of all busts. It is good to see that Albert wants to start beating the crap out of some baseballs already. We shall see.

New Nicknames

Which one is quicker going to his right? The Goat pointed me to this item in the Viewfromthecheapseats blog: Presumably, Duncan will play his original position -- first base -- while the outfield picture remains unchanged. But it's going to be hard to swallow not only the loss of more than 100 points of batting average in the middle of the lineup, but also the subtraction of a Gold Glove from the field to be replaced with a guy who seems to try to catch the ball with a skillet. He has since begun referring to our favorite tortoise humper by a new name. Henceforth, Duncan shall be known as Edward Skillet Hands.

Ouch!

Goddammit Yadier, are you sure this is how I get the candy out? A post on the Guardian's soccer blog had some harsh word's for Arsenal's striker, Emmanuel Adebayor: Tis only a matter of time before those who lauded him so vociferously realise that his first touch has all the elan, grace and subtlety of a rapist. The same words could apply to Chris "Dry Hump" Duncan and his left field antics, let alone any extracurricular ones. If only what happened in the clubhouse, stayed in the clubhouse.
