Champions League Final: At Half

Liverpool has to consider themselves unlucky to be down 1-0 at halftime. They dominated play almost from the get-go. Milan get the goal on an uncalled Inzaghi hand ball to boot.

Oh well, I guess it could be worse for Liverpool. They could be down 3-0.

I was surprised that L-pool didn't bring in Crouch earlier to try to shake things up. They seemed rather lifeless in the second half.

Listless, that's the word for the whole game. Inzaghi's second goal looked like it happened in slow motion.

Crouch would have offered a different look to be sure. Given the game plan seemed to be to send in crosses from Pennant why wouldn't you want to start with Crouch?
