I had to record the Germany/Portugal match and watch it just now. The ticker kept showing that fucking Cards score and I kept looking at a less than concerned Mrs. Southlandish bemoaning it.
And sports world is coming to an end. Whoever controls the cameras at the soccer match tonight was cutting away to the crowd reaction shots in extra time as the Portuguese where relentlessly attacking. It was maddening. I expect this from the douchebags at ESPN and CBS when covering college hoops and March Madness but I had hoped Euro2008 had a slightly higher standard.
