Hockey seasons will have their ups and downs. For whatever reason, be it injuries, a challenging schedule, an inexplicable loss of form, it is difficult for teams to maintain a good level of compete for an entire season. The good teams just limit their funks. The St. Louis Blues, however, are not a good team. They are a poor team, and poor teams sink under the weight of "here we go again" night after night. Ah, but the porn/sports analogies can go on forever-
"Like a soon-to-be-unemployed porn actor, we scored too early, and couldn't duplicate our success."
"A good running back is a lot like a female porn star- you want to use them a lot, but the wear and tear takes it toll."
"Substituting quarterbacks is the equivalent of bringing in a stunt c**k- you have to make the switch at just the right time."
But my favorites are the double entrendes never seem to stop:
"The coach gave him a much-desired blow." Possibly my all time favorite because it's used so much-I turn into freakin' Beavis and Butthead "heh heh, he said blow."
"We shot too early"
"You want to get the tight end into the right position."
And just for you Southlandish,
"We really took it on the chin today."
